There is something about quiet It lets thoughts calm you down No kind of noise distraction No cymbals clanging around No lawn mowers noise raging No TV shouting in your head No fears are now welling up There's nothing in quiet to dread I look inside of my heart My eyes see to my soul I need enough of quiet To make me feel whole Sometimes a sound can be quiet Because it pushes out all other Fresh snow in the light of the moon A sleeping baby in arms of his mother Flowers in a field waving A small rippling in a brook A piano playing so softly I want to stare, not just look © Copyright 2008.05.19 by Jean E.
