Today, my friends were talking and joking about when guys text them. I laughed along with them, but I couldn't ignore the fact that I couldn't relate. The little voice in the back of my head couldn't be silenced. It said to me, "boys don't text you because you're ugly. Boys don't text you because you're ugly." I tried to push it to the edge of my mind. It worked, until I was home and bored. Then it came back. "If only you were prettier, then you could be texting a boy. If only you were prettier then you could be texting a boy." I put my earbuds in and lost the voice in the music. As I was falling asleep the voice came back screaming. "BOYS DON'T TEXT YOU BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH."
