So I took a moment to write about my life as a single mother. My kids are my world. Growing up I had an extraordinary gift to see what others cannot. If you don't believe in the paranormal that's fine. My experience with this I can't deny. This started as far as I can remember. My grandma had said when I started talking I said there was a blue man in our house. She assumed I had an imaginary friend since my brother and oldest sister was in school and my other sister was a loner and we didn't really play together. She assumed I was bored and wanted some friends. I don't remember as a baby and toddler. When I was around 4 or 5 I remember the blue man. I was in bed and needed to use the bathroom. When I was done I went to get a drink of water. Nothing unusual. The clock in the stove said it was a little after 3 am. I heard something in the living room. I assumed it was my grandpa so I went to go see. I was close to him. Anytime I'd see him, even if it was him getting in from yard work, I had to give him a hug and tell him I love him. If I got up at night and he was up to I would hug him and he'd bring me back to bed. He had heart disease and was disabled. That didn't stop him from doing all he could for my siblings and me. At this time my brother and oldest sister was put back in their dads custody. My other sister and I were left in the custody of our grandparents. We're half siblings. Anyways, so I went to the living room expecting my grandpa. He was tall and had blue overalls. Not like overalls from the 90s, but it looked like something from little house on the prairie. I guess I made some noise, not a scream because my grandpa didn't get up, but something to make the man look at me. I could tell he was mad. He told me to go back to bed. I stood there for a second. His skin was blue along with his clothes. Everything was blue. He wasn't completely solid either. He took a step to me and said I told you go to bed. I ran to my grandparents room. They left the door open in case my sister or I needed them they could hear us. I got into their bed and hid under the covers. I waited a few seconds thinking the blue man was gone and I could wake my grandpa to go check or something. I looked at the door and he was standing there. He said now don't get up again. He turned and disappeared. My grandpa woke up and I told him the blue man chased me. He told me it was a bad dream to sleep with them and it'll be alright. He got up and walked around the house and found nothing. Everything was still locked. There's no way anyone could come inside without us hearing. From that moment forward if I wake up at night I would lay in bed and fight to sleep. I would fight the urge to go use the bathroom and get water. Sometimes I would feel movement in my bed and jump out and run to my grandpa. He would never find anything. After getting tired of me waking him up for the same thing every night he moved me to his room. Thinking I just wanted to sleep next to him and grandma. Even though I was a chunky child, I was still tiny. He was afraid he would roll in his sleep and hurt me. They finally said I could either sleep in my bed or on a lot of blankets on the floor next to them. They said this in hopes to get me in my own room again. It worked. I hadn't seen the blue man in a while and thought he was gone finally. Sleeping in my own room was scary. I could be there during the day, but night would come and I was restless. I started having bad headaches at 5 years old. The Dr said I was taking. What 5 year old fakes a headache to the point of vomiting? Since my grandma was the only parent working, we didn't have a lot of money. My grandpa didn't let me sleep with the light on or a nightlight. It would raise the light bill up too high. Once again not able to sleep well and being up most nights I kept little toys in the bed for me to play with. One night I heard something at my window. I hid under the covers thinking it would go away. It didn't. It kept knocking or scratching. Going between knocking and scratching. I thought grandpa would hear this and come. He didn't. I thought if I could yell for him he come. I couldn't yell. It was like my voice was gone. Finally I looked out the window. There he was. The blue man. He put his hand on the window and smiled. I ran. I woke grandpa up and told him I saw the man outside my room. Thinking somebody was trying to break in he grabbed the little hunting rifle he kept by his bed and a flash light. He ran outside. Nothing was there. Nobody was there. I was in school during the day. My teachers said I was a good kid. Quiet and did what I was supposed to. I spent most my free time reading. I would often complain of headaches. My eyes were fine. I didn't need glasses. My doctor didn't do any other tests. She still said I was faking. I stopped complaining about them. I just suffered in silence. I would try to sleep but sleep didn't happen often. What kid has insomnia at 5 years old? I kept hearing voices. I couldn't make out what most were saying but they were there. I remember laying in bed staring at the wall one night. I saw a figure form. Thinking omg the blue man is in my room, I hid under the blanket. I peaked out and saw this was a woman. I closed my eyes and waited. She was coming closer and closer. When she finally got to my face she smiled. She had a long white dress, blonde hair, very pale. She had a smile like a mother. Something comforting. Nothing like the blue man. She stood back and watched me look at her. She smiled again and took her hand and rubbed my cheek gentally. I went to sleep. I slept quite well for the first time I can remember. When I woke up in the morning I went to the bathroom. I had a scratch on my face down my cheek. My family said I had to scratch myself in my sleep. I'm sure it was the woman in white. I told them about this woman. They dismissed it again. Every time I have experiences it gets dismissed. I quit talking about it. The woman would come often. Usually when I couldn't sleep. Same thing. Rub my cheek and I was out. I gave up fighting. That was the only time I was scratched and other times she came I didn't get marks. I took the first time as an accident since she never did hurt me. Not long after I was starting to get sleep I woke up to flashing lights and knocking at the door. My grandpa got out of bed. I remember being thankful I wasn't the only one seeing or hearing this. Two cops came in. There was paramedics and firefighters with him. He said they received a phone call from our house. My grandparents didn't have cell phones. We only had house phones. When calling an emergency operator on a landline you don't have to give an address. They can locate you from the landline. The officer said a little girl called saying somebody needed help and it disconnected when the dispatcher was asking questions. She was on the phone long enough to get a location. My grandma got up and asked what was going on. The officer asked if there were kids here. She said yes but we were in bed asleep. He asked if he could check on us as it was a kids voice. She said yes but try not to wake us. I was awake and got up out of bed to see who was there. He asked if I called. I hadn't. My sister was sleeping. They went to leave and my grandpa went pale. He grabbed his chest and fell to the floor. The cop yelled for the paramedics to come quick. My grandma grabbed me because I ran to him. I was crying. I heard a voice saying he's going to be fine. It wasn't my grandma. This sounded like a little girl. I looked for her but didn't see anyone. I didn't mention this. They put grandpa in the ambulance. My grandma told me to get dressed and they woke my sister. In her bedroom the phone was laying on the floor. It was disconnected. I was asked again if I had called and I said no. My grandpa had a massive heart attack. He was hospitalized for a month. He needed several heart surgeries. During his hospital stay my uncle and his wife came down from Georgia. My birth mom would come on occasion. I insisted on sleeping with my grandma and my uncle and his wife took my room. Sleeping next to my grandma i didn't see the woman in white or the blue man. I was able to sleep peacefully. I felt safe. My grandma would get up and get us ready for school but leave before the bus would come. My uncle and his wife got us on the bus. They didn't stay long. My uncle said he felt uncomfortable and like something was watching him. He often got up during the night and walked outside saying he saw a man. He called the police a few times saying he saw a man. They assumed it was the neighbor and told him to stop coming in our yard at night. This caused some arguments as he claimed he wasn't but who else could it be. The last thing my uncle said before leaving was my grandparents needed to sign custody to him and his wife. The house was creepy and my grandma can't raise us on her own. My birth mom fought and said she didn't want him to raise us. If my grandma couldn't then my other uncle and my aunt is next in line. Not him. This caused a lot of fighting. My grandma said she didn't care what was going on she was raising us alone if needed. My uncle and his wife left. My grandpa finally came home after what felt like forever. Years went by and I didn't see the blue man or woman in white. My headaches didn't calm down. It was daily and made me sick. I didn't like being inside so as long as it was warm I was always outside playing. My grandpa would tell me to come in when he was really tired and wanted to nap. This was the routine during the summer months. One day I was outside. I was about 7 or 8. I wanted to be a cheerleader but we couldn't afford it so I would put on short skirts with shorts and a tight shirt and made me a uniform. I'd go out and pretend I was a cheerleader and do tricks and yell and had fun. Then I heard a girl. She laughed and said it's this way. I looked for her but didn't see her. I heard laughing so I went to look. I stopped at the property line. We lived in a wooded area. The property line was by trees and a ditch and you could see the neighbors house. In between the properties there was a random man. He had a shovel and was digging in the ground. I never saw him before which is odd because it's not a big area. We knew everyone. I asked him what he was doing. He stopped and looked at me. I felt a cold wind, which is odd in the middle of summer. He had short brown hair and was very tall. He wore old style clothes. Overalls with a white tee shirt. He wasn't blue like the other man. He spoke very coldly. He said I'm burning stumps and to get inside so I don't inhale the smoke. I told him I was getting my grandpa because he shouldn't be there. He told me no and started coming towards me. I ran. I ran inside. My face was white. I was scared. I told grandpa the man in the woods ran after me. He got up and went outside. Nobody was there. He looked in the woods. No shovel no sign of digging or anything burning. Grandpa called the police and there wasn't any foot prints in the woods or yard except mine. They didn't see anyone. The neighbor said he didn't see anyone. They asked if I saw the neighbor and I said no it wasn't him. This guy was skinnier and a lot more pale. My grandpa started to shelter me. If I wanted to go outside my sister had to be there too or him. My headaches got worse and I eventually just stayed in the dark more and more. My grandpa was doing repairs to the house again. He wanted to expand it and fix it up as it was old. They lived in this house for about 30 years prior to me being there. It use to be a trailer he did work on and made it a house. The more work he did the sicker we both got. He was in and out the hospital and I spent most my time in bed in the dark. The weekends if my grandma wasn't helping him she had me out shopping or let me play outside. So one of those rare days when my sister wasn't being a loner, we were playing with our baby dolls. We heard a voice. The same voice I heard before of the girl. She laughed and said it's this way I think it's this way come on. My sister heard it too so we went outside. We didn't see her. We heard laughing but couldn't point out where it was coming from. I found myself at the end of the driveway on my bike. I stopped and looked around. There it was. The knife. It was old. Kinda rusty. In a protective carrier. The carrier even looked old. I picked it up and brought it inside. I gave it to grandpa. He said his grandfather had one like it when he was a boy. Since we couldn't figure out who would of dropped it he kept it. He put it up in the desk. I knew better than to touch it. The knife would often end up back outside or on the floor or in the bathroom. My grandpa would go see his friend down the road and leave us alone at home. I wanted to see if I was going crazy. So I made sure the knife was in the desk drawer. It was. My sister and I stayed in the living room and watched tv. I heard a noise and looked. The desk drawer was open and the knife was gone. This time it was never found again for years. Now this continues on. I'll make a part 2. My kids are currently needing my attention and I need to stop writing. These encounters lasted years. I'm 24 and I still have them. But all this ties in together.
