I didnt expect everything to happen at once. When the gates opened up before me and I stepped out into the free world, I knew it would take a lot of time and hard work to get where i wanted to be in life. 

I have an entire bucket-list of "first time" experiences I have been checking off; I had never driven a car nor owned one before, never had a bank account, never payed my own bills, I had never really gone shopping for myelf. It has been one of my greatest joys doing things for myself and experiencing life in a way i never appreciated when i had the chance as a young man.

The one thing above all others that I have been wanting to experience, I still haven't managed to obtain. I want to experience love.

I've read countless stories and articles, watch movies, dramas, plays, and have attended seminars workshops and classes over many years of incarceration just dreaming about it, but it hasn't found me yet.

Every day I am finding new things to experience, new things to see and feel and I trust the day will come when this too will be checked off my list.
