Even before I stepped on mud, I met several other misfortunes that day.

It was drizzling since last night. The whole house had a wet feeling. I had a test on geography today at school. There could've been plenty of excuses, especially rain related diseases. I had studied but my geography teacher remained far away from easy questions. I however
believed it that everything requires some mood, even tests. Perhaps I could request professor Stan for a consideration. But that not what my father liked. Yes, my father was my geography teacher.

Mom left yesterday for grandma's. She suddenly fell from the stairs while cleaning the kitchen chimney, as Mom mentioned. How could someone have a staircase next to the kitchen chimney never made any sense to me.

My dear father being a horrible cook, I had to make breakfast as well as lunch. Cooking along with geography tests. Wow. My father offered help but I rejected politely. His help would surely give me some more time in the kitchen .

By the way, my name is Dove Stewart. I live in Starland, London. I read in Blue sky high school in the 9th standard.

I burnt up some portion of the toast , added more water than desired in my father's coffee and spilled out all the clothes from the wardrobe when taking out my clothes . I realised it previously and did it again, mother knows best.

Dad generally took me with him in our figo.

' Ready for the test, my nibbles? ' , he asked me.

' Yeah, kinda ', I replied . I managed to drop my eyes on some of the important points while making breakfast. I was not properly prepared for the test .

We generally parked all vehicles in the parking lot. I spotted a few of my friends from the car. Sometimes, I did feel a bit of 'royalty' being the daughter of a teacher. Well my friends were not like that. Ya, I felt some frustration from my non-friends.

I jumped out of the car before it entered the lot. It would waste a lot of time to go all the way back to the front. I never liked the royalty of a teacher's personal passenger.

Just as I jumped out, my legs were swallowed in by a puddle, probably the largest in the vicinity. ( I was used to getting into all the Mega forms of all the troubles) .

I'd watched the puddle previously. But the geography test was troubling me so much that the puddle seemed harmless to me. It appeared to me as if there was totally no harm in landing on a puddle.

I wasn't drenched completely. Only I received some patches of wetness in certain parts of my jeans. I rushed to my friends faster than a cheetah.

To be continued.......
