For The One....
There's this awesome guy I know, who has a lot to say, and a lot more to show.
All he needs is a bit of time and a chance, a little bit of faith to prove what he can.
He's come a long way, you see, from naughty childhood days, to the man he's grown to be.
So come on people, listen to me, I'm gonna let y'all in on his lil' story.
Hails from Cheras, born 41 years ago, by the time he was knee high he was ready to go.
Started playing with beats, he found his answer, and that's when everything started, I'm tellin' ya.
He was a kid in search of a future, got his big break but was an unfortunate disaster.
What he hoped would be something big and wonderful, instead he was slapped with something dreadful.
He realized then he had to be strong, no matter how tough it gets he's gotta keep moving on.
He had no choice but to fight to survive, so he did everything he could just to stay alive.
His whole life had been a constant battle, whatever the challenge, he would face and handle.
He's had it tough, but he's strong enough, though sometimes things do get a little rough.
He had shut off his emotions, refusing to feel,
so he missed out a lot but to him it's no big deal.
He's determined and focused to make it to the end, and when that time comes, his new world will begin.
He knows he can make it though at times he's filled with doubt, coz he sometimes forgets what he's really all about.
But I believe in him, I know who he is, so listen to me good, Nick, and don't you ever forget this.
I've watched you grow throughout the years, you've been tough and strong despite all of the tears.
You ain't no punk whose head is full of junk, you're gifted, you're smart, plus you got a lotta funk.
You're special, you're a thinker, and when it comes down to the wire, you're a true warrior.
So listen to me, Nick, and listen well....
believe in yourself everyday in your self made cell.
You are a good man right down to the core, I'm reminding you this coz I've said it all before.
You're not a loser,
not a monster,
not even a beast,
you're something special,
you just gotta keep believing this.
