The Story I Tell Read Count : 95

A story I will tell,
Of a time when all was not well.
A story of betrayal mixed with greed.
Not long ago or far away did this happen indeed.

The story begins right here,
With a gift, that of a child whom is loved so dear.
Unknown intentions brought this spiteful deed.
Ripping apart families in need.

Where a man's dollar makes his creed.
Yearning hearts left to bleed.
Scarlet letters they place upon those whom are weak.
Souls whom hide amongst us, only there to seek.

From dire heart they peer.
From lustful gain they leer.
Preying upon families whom trust.
Stealing children from their mother's bust.

Giving these gifts of light,
Unto those willing to pay a price.
While society turns a blind eye,
Our families may be next to pay the price.
