Dull this world away,
Take from us this pain.
Bring joy and peace our way.
We’ve earned a reprieve here today.

These tears fallen over years,
Fill fueling rivers of broken dreams.
Where we’ve attempted to follow our peers.
Faltering upon this narrow path before us it seems.

While breath lasts in our breasts,
While our skin may in sunlight yet bask.
We pray take these pains, heed our requests?
Aid us in removing these masks.

Dreamers of different worlds are we,
Whom through the veil see?
A different world for you and me.
Dull this world away, thus we plea?
