Mind over matter they say, 
Chin up, You’ll find a way. 
Mind over matter that’s what they say. 
Though Many don’t mind your pain. 
Because you don’t matter until you’re in their way. 

Mind over matter just a few words to say, 
When the lost despair in every way. 
Because simple thoughts give demons their way. 
Where they root bearing down to stay. 

These thoughts that creep from the dark. 
These nightmares that have left their mark. 
Where silence creates a spark. 
Lighting up this deep dark. 

Dreams die withering into dust. 
Where innocence has been stolen, leaving distrust. 
Imagine this fear that consumes the just. 
Memories that are too strong to rust.
