With the impending inauguration of Donald Trump about two weeks away, I contemplate how the next four years may unfold. I admit I am not in a positive frame of mind, let alone optimistic, based on just about everything that has transpired within the Trump transition process since the election.

The fact that Trump has not stopped his quick trigger twitter ramblings is a key indicator that this will likely continue post swear in. Reacting real time to world events, without contemplation or consultation is a recipe for disaster. History has shown how delicately crucial nuance can be within international political exchange. The Cuban Missle Crisis is just one that comes to mind.

We can only hope that the advisors around Trump can convince him that he needs to put the phone away. So far, no one has been able to do this.

There are many other areas of concern I have from Trump administrative policy, constitutional and American Value perspectives that I intend to comment on down the road. I look forward to hearing your opinion.
