Here I am playing on the floor. As a 5 year old the only thing on your mind is being a kid.....not for me. See I had to grow up a little early because at that age things started to go very wrong not for me but for my family. Take a look........


Age 5: I'm running through the house playing with my sisters and brothers and all of a sudden my dad comes home and he is drunk, so my mom sent us to our room. Now mind u that this was a two bedroom house and my parents have 7 kids and the rooms weren't that big, but anyway my dad was a drinker and he liked to gamble our money away so my big brother at the time he was 15 or 16 he was selling dope to help my mom out because my dad was messing the money off. My mom was a beautiful lady she was perfect. A couple months later my mom died in her sleep, now keep in mind I am 5 years old so there's only so much I can see and know at this point.so as they bring my mom out her room on the stretcher I remember what she had on. She had a flower pattern night gown on with pink and purple flowers on it i remember asking my brother at the funeral what we going to do now and he looked down at me and said we can only move forward. At that time I didn't know what that mean but on down the line we started to lose our car and soon we lost our house causing me n my sister's to live n a shady apartment that my dad got us on fixed income during our stay at the apartment it was rough because dad was always gone and we were left to fin for ourselves every day. One day we had no food and I remember seeing a loaf of bread on the top of the refrigerator and I climb on to the fridge trying to reach the bread and soon as I almost have it the fridge lean over on me and falls on me I started screaming on the top of my lungs and my sister's came to help me by this time, I am 6 years old and we where hungry so I did what every big brother would do and that was to seek food for my sister's.
