It doesn’t. It only makes you willing to work together to problem-solve through the tough stuff. You resolve your differences, personal, financial, practical, religious, etc. You’re more willing to do so because you think more of that other person, that significant other you chose out of love. If you chose them for any other reason, it’s going to be a really tough road ahead and tougher because you don’t love them enough to work with them. You were just thrown together for some other reason that’s not strong enough to make you care about them.

You might’ve married them out of modern convenience, like marrying them into the country. While that’s generous and nice, it still makes it harder to want to work together through the tougher times.

There’s something about love that makes one more patient with the other person’s quirks, peeves, imperfections that anything else just can’t replace. You liked them at one point, you have to have to have fallen in love with them. If you actually like someone enough to fall in love with them, you forgive what others wouldn’t. You work around what others wouldn’t.
