A melody breaking through from a guitar, A piece of a fallen star, A touch of fresh snow, A pinch of moon’s gentle glow, Winter’s subtle smell, Were all in the spell, That made you; Along with the shade of blue That designs the sky. A puff of the clouds up high, A tune from a song, A bark of a tree- to make you strong- Were mixed and muddled, And kindness was doubled. A small plot of a writer’s land, The golden hue of sunset sand; Drop of ink, a dash of lead, And of course, a book’s thread! Were blended, mingled, fused, combined; To the project, the best were assigned! Like every sea hides a storm, Snowflakes can cause a snowstorm; You have, in you, magic, power- To make people smile or cower- In your words, and melodies, Offering cures, and remedies. Use it wisely, use it well; Then that crafty, complex spell, Would have been used perfectly well; To never again disappear, dispel! So, maybe sing a happy tune, Or weave a story under the moon, Mould a poem, Or whistle a hum, And in a moment, in a jerk, Your wonder will do the work! May the coming times be jovial, and spread cheer; I wish you a prosperous and happy New Year!
