FINAL CHAPTER! The End with Phantom of Wolves -One Year Later- Ashley returned home after two months of being in the hospital. The doctors managed to save Ashley's life after a dozen of operations. Her left eye was gone, just a clean hollow socket. She now wears an eyepatch. Scars from the dogs scratch marks are going to mark her face for most of her life. Luckily, Ashley worked hard for the last couple months to past eleventh grade. Anyone whom dare to ask what happened to her left eye, she says nothin', just an unemotional stare. Her social butterfly now has broken wings. She only talks to Dustin because she only trusts him. Dustin and Penel graduated and moved into Ashley's lonely house to help her. Dustin's parents pondered why Dustin was home prior to Saturday. He lied saying Ashley got severely injured by accidentally impaling her left eye into the faucet. Her father took him home early in the morning. Mother was skeptic when she heard Ashley's father was found burned to death in another house days later, but she knew her father was a firefighter. His mother felt proud of them that they sacrifice their college career just to help their friend. His parents forgot about the vivid realistic nightmare they were in that they wake up from just like it was in a dream. Dustin and Ashley only ventilate about the game to Penel because she saved them before the wolf guy can kill them. Penel can see the lifely scarring that the house pressured down on them. Dustin began smoking seven months ago and Ashley lost her emotional walls. "It's been a year." Dustin utters. "Do not talk about it." Ashley says sharply while hugging her legs on the sofa across from them in the living room. "I know it's trauma, but someone is still wandering around in that nightmare. Remember the poem that she forced you to say when you were possessed?" Dustin asks. "I barely even remember." Ashley says while looking out the window on a rainy day. She was uninterested of the conversation. "I still remember it." Dustin says. "What was it?" Penel asks while sitting next to Dustin. "Don't say it." Ashley snaps. "Ashley, please." Dustin sighs as a slight rumble of thunder can be heard from the outside. He then took a deep breath. "In the woods, hiding from the lies. I only had a family who I cared deep inside. Til' gunmen broke in and shot them dead. Under the bed with a monster living in my head. The monster growled and made me filled the air with dread. The screams, the bloodshed, the lust of death battled in my soul. I stabbed and sliced everyone that made my blood run cold. The heroes never helped nor cared. They didn't even hear nor stare. At four, the bodies were burning in a flaming galore. The smell of smoke and ashes burned my heart, but never tore me apart. The fire rage all at five. My weeping tears are still alive. The walls came down and I couldn't scream no more. Here I dangle with my scrag in a rope. I long to be with my family and nothing more." "Imagine that as a depressing song, Dust." Ashley says. "She needs some comfort." Penel said. "We had no idea what she's been through time of time again. People like you made that mistake to come into her house and end up killing themselves." Ashley stands up full of frustration. "Yeah! We learned that, Penel. Now, Zack, Alma, Tyler, and George are now dead. We are mourning and scarred from this mistake that we made. Dustin is now smoking and you're not doing a thing while I long not to suffer anymore. Oh the nightmares of the exact game and waking up at three in morning! Do you think that we are glad that we lived, Penel? NO!" She began to shake violently like she was about to explode. "Our friends are finally free from this cruel ass world while we longing to forget of what happened to us. If we hadn't done this hide and seek game, we won't be in this situation right now." Ashley stands up and walks towards her room slamming her door and locking it. "Maybe I should go talk to her?" Penel suggests as she gets up from the couch. Dustin grabbed her by the arm and gesturing her to sit back down. "No." He shooks his head. "Penel, she's right. If I hadn't brung up that stupid legend, we probably be fine." "You told them that?" Penel asks. "Yes." Dustin nodded. "I reseached it the same night that we both gotten into trouble with our parents. They were skeptical at first, but turns out we were dead wrong. The same guy that turned into a large ass dog was the same guy who warned us at school." He explains. "You should've thought about it as a creepypasta or a creepy urban legend and never shared it to your friends." Penel told him. Dustin nodded. "It's done for." He said. "Won't happened again." *** Dustin was driving up Lincoln Drive along with Penel and Ashley in the back seat. Ashley only looked down while Penel looked out the window. It was still raining. He stopped near the sidewalk near the house labeled 287. "Okay guys," he looked into the backseat. "Just going to say a peaceful goodbye then we will leave." He opened up his door meanwhile Penel got out of the car. Dustin looked into the backseat and Ashley was still sitting while her head was lowered. He only glared at Ash until she finally looked up and slowly got out. She was slightly frowning and her right eye was glazed over. They followed Dustin inside of the house. The house was silent and still. The rainy clouds from the outside made the house look depressing and dim. "Sahia, if you can hear us, we want to talk to you." Dustin says. "Just say it." Ashley said softly. "Sahia, we know what happened three decades ago. You lost your family and took your own life. You're very brave of taking those guys out, but the fire was too much. You didn't want to burn, you didn't want to breathe. I understand that now, family is the love of life. The people who you give care. Without it, you're hopeless. Now, I wished I never disobey my parents again. Thank you. I hope we meet again, Sahia, but in the mean time, rest in peace." Dustin said loud and clear. Dustin looked at Ashley to see that she was staring at the corridor with grudge in her eye. "You bastard, you attempted to kill us." She growls. Dustin looked down the corridor to find nobody there. "Don't you even laugh at us." Ashley snarls. Dustin looked at Penel and grimace appeared in his eyes. "Penel, your eyes shouldn't be yellow." He pointed out making Ashley look directly towards her. Penel didn't even utter a word. "Dustin, your eyes shouldn't be yellow either." Ashley said. "What?" He winced towards Ash only to find that the eyepatch was gone. Her left eye was somehow there. Both of her eyes were bright yellow. Then Ashley collapsed to the floor snarling and growling like she was in pain. Her teeth began to turn into fangs. Her ears began to sharpen into a point. Dustin and Penel watched in horror because they fear of what's coming next. Ashley glanced towards Penel and Dustin with the eyes of death. Her face was slowly morphing into a face of a wolf. She slammed her face back down on the ground barking and fur started to grow and her body quickly turned into a wolf. Then let out a snarling roar. Dustin and Penel fall to the ground as the transformation takes place. It felt like their muscles were intensifying every second causing alot of pain. Fur immediately grow on their skin and their bodies mold into a shape of a wolf. Dustin and Penel were snarling and drooling their saliva onto the ground just like Ashley. Only this time, the process went through alot quicker. They felt dead inside, but another urge came up. The urge to rip people to shreds. Dustin looked down at the corridor seeing the blonde guy with silver eyes wearing a cloak staring right at them with straight lips. Dustin looked towards the stairwell and saw Sahia, her husband, and her two children standing close to each other holding arms, but no smiles. Dustin now can see every teenager that died in the house during the game even the dark men who killed Sahia's family. The blonde cloaked man walked to Dustin, Penel, and Ashley. "You've been marked by the curse now." He said. "You can still have your bodies and souls, but now you'll hear the minds that are tempting to play the game. You must get them, otherwise you must warn them ahead of time just like I did to you. If things are at peace, consider yourselves lucky." He hissed on the last part before vanishing into smoke. Their minds faded to black. They woke up to find themselves in their beds at five in the morning. Penel, Dustin, Ashley looked human, but they know it wasn't a dream that they awoken concurrently from. Three months later, police found three bodies, two boys and a girl, on 287 Lincoln Drive at five thirty in the morning after hearing screams miles away. Their limbs were torn apart and their eyeballs were rolling all over the floor. Half of the limbs looked like they were chewed on like toys. Blood was all over the floor and the killer was never caught. When a psychic investigator came in, she saw three wolf-like dogs with glowing yellow eyes.
