Introductions
I woke to Mia softly shaking me, "Come on Amel, not do this now," she pleaded. I opened my eyes and sat up, much against my muscles' will.
We were sitting on a bench, at the bacn of the school. We were all alone, so no one could see us. I heaved a sigh of releif. If no one saw me or Mia, the better, for no one would ask questions, no one would judge me, and no one hopefully wouldn't think of me as a burden.
"Alright, I'm awake. What were we about to do before the, uh, thing," I asked. Even though I knew no ome was out here with us, I felt as ifni said it, some imaginary ears would here me and tell the world one of my darkest secret. Only my family, doctor, and Mia knew, and I planed to keep it that way.
"We were about go check where our dorms were and who we're with," she explained.
"Oh ok, lets get going then," I said, standing up, and putting a hand on the bench arm as a wave of nausea hit me.
"Are younsure you don't need any help getting there, or do you want to stay here for a little while longer?" Mia asked, concerned. Deep down, I knew she was just trying to help me, as she always is, but I hadnto force the anger feom exploding out of me like a volcano erupting.
"I'm fine, lets just go," I siad, putting on a brave face. No one could see me weak, that's what my dad always told me when I was upset, or they wouldn't want to be with me. I had always followed him and his directions to the best of my ability, but still, eventually Mia found out of my weakness. That's when I expected her to walk away and refuse to ever spend time with me again.
And that's when I thought I was about to loose my only friend.
But, to my surprise, she has still stayed by side and helped me entire way, up until this day.
Once I got my head back to earth, I found Mia already halfway to the main building, "You coming?" she asked. I nodded and followed her, slowly regaining my thought. And then I was reminded of all my other problems.
Animal features? And even worse, I have to pick which one that could change my life. And on top of that, Mia just made enemies with the friend of all our possible friends. So do I go or not? Face another four years as outsiders and never be accepted, or taking a chance with new school that will cause all others outside the school to shune me?
"Mia," I asked, "are you goin to this school?"
"Well, I think getting a fresh start would be good for both of us, and if you're worrying about other kids outide teasing us, we don't have to see them. We got everything we need at this school, and we won't have much time for them, with school taking up most of our time. So yes, I would rather come to the school instead of the public one, but I will always follow you, so I'll do whatever you decide."
"Well, I think we'll take a chanceon this school, and if I doesn't turn out well, we always have each other, right?"
"'Till the end," Mia agreed, "Plus, nothing can be as bad as middle school."
"Your right about that," I joked.

"So who do you have as a dorm mate?" Mia asked as we read the announcement board.
"Well I have a sophomore named Emily Robinwood. It sucks that we're not together," I replied as I tought to myself, that name sounds familiar.
Mia beat me to the punch, "Isn't that the name of the school? Robinwood I mean."
"Your right Mia! That also means she is the professor's daughter!" I exclaimed. Wow, does that mean I'll have a brat I'll have to basically live with the entire year?
"Huh?" she asked, bringing my thoughts back to earth.
"The teacher who gave us the tests; his last name is Robinwood. Wait, does that mean he is the founder of tue school?"
"I mean probably, but anyways, I got Taylor," Mia exclaimed.
"Really? Well, that's a coincidence," I said.
"I wanna go see her, come on!" she shouted, already running away.
If only life could be like Mia, I thought wishfully.
