Time has an alluring beauty in its flow.
While an year flies fast, days seem slow.
Here I chase seconds, curious to know
more about life's secrets to learn and grow.
‌Like yesterday the new year came hopping around like a child, built hopes of sand , slided along the flow, climbed backwards, fell down, learned, tried, succeeded.
‌Dear 2017,
‌I thank you for being an impartial year. Giving back what I sowed. You might not have given me happiness all around, but you definitely made me strong. You may not have fulfilled my expectations but you definitely have given me unexpected surprises. Because of the problems you planned in my path, I have grown mature, confident and stronger. There were times when things were out of control, but then it made me defend myself, to fight back. I learnt not to give up on what we want; and in the end, I might not have got that, but I felt contented for trying my best. I found pleasure in working, the satisfaction at the end of work. I learnt the value of a human being. That mini second between 'he is' and 'he was'. I have learnt loving and caring your loved ones instantly. For once they leave, only regrets reside of words untold. I have seen the power of family support. I have percieved and grown. Beyond that, I  have realised the beauty of living in the present,  trying hard and not letting fate decide the future.Thank you dear 2017 to be fair. 
‌Dear 2018,
‌I am looking forward to the surprises you have planned for me. Whether it be roses or thorns, starry nights or storms I am ready to fight back. I am ready to learn.
