It all happened on one busy day..

My name is Ringo Hoshino and I'm 15 years old. Today is a Thursday and we're finishing up with unpacking in our new house.
We moved in since Monday and tried to finish everything before the weekend. Finally, after the sunset, we were all done.

" Thank you for your help, boys. I couldn't have done it without you! ", my mother said as she hugged me and my brother.

We moved due to my mom and dad's divorce. Now we don't even know where dad is, and mom always tells us not worry about him.

" It's no problem, mom! We're happy to help! ", I said, smiling. Then my brother agreed and also smiled.

" Oh right! I remembered something! The two of you are going to school starting tomorrow! Isn't that great? ", mom announced, with excitement.

" Starting....tomorrow..? Isn't tomorrow Friday? ", my brother asked.

Mom nodded but didn't say anything.

" That's great! Right, brother? ", I exclaimed, turning to him. He stared at me for a second, then nodded with a smile.

" You better get ready then! ", mom exclaimed.

" Yeah! I'm so excited! Hey, brother! Let's play with the other students at lunch! ", I said, with fists rolled, happily.

Then, mom looked at me and lowered her head.

" Mom? What's the matter? "

" Sorry about that, Ringo.. But you and your brother will go in different schools. ", she said.

" So..it'll be just me alone? ", I asked.

" You won't be alone! There are so many students there! I'm sure that you'll have many friends after only one day! ", brother said.

It all made me think about what's gonna happen... 

The next day, I left the house and found many kids with the same uniform as me.

" Good morning! ", one boy said from behind me. I turned around and tried to smile.

" G-Good morning... "

He looked at me, a bit confused, and smiled. " Are you new? ", he asked.

" Why, yes! I'm Ringo Hoshino! I just moved in since Monday! "

" I see! Nice to meet you then! I am Hikari Nanashima! Welcome! ", he said.

" Thanks! "

" Do you wanna walk to school together, Ringo? ", he asks.

" Sure! ", I responded.

We talked and laughed while walking to school. The school looks so great and new!

" Let's go in and find out your class! ", Hikari says and points at the building entrance.

" S-Sure..! "

I'm so nervous that I'm getting covered in sweat. But Hikari stayed with me like we've known each other for a long time! He treats me like family and opens up to me. I'm so glad he's the first student I met in the same school.

" Ringo! I found out your class! ", Hikari shouts and waves to me from the bulletin board. I walked up to him and looked at board to find my name and class.

" Class 7.. ", I mumbled. Hikari turned to me with a smile. " Good luck with your first day! ", he says.

" What class are you in, Hikari? ", I asked.

" Class 1! "

That's very far from my class so I don't think we can go together to the classrooms.

" Well then! I'm going now! Classroom 7 is upstairs, at the end of the hallway to the left! ", he informed me. 

" Thanks, Hikari! ", I said. 

He smiled, waved and walked off. I looked at the bulletin board, once again.

" This is it, Ringo.. You can do it.. "
