Reckless he'd been with words
Uttered them like a drunk with no morals
How could you have thought twice
When he fed you candied lies
Your "yes" never tarried when he promised you the skies
Honeyed harmonies he'd sing
Reckless, he even pledged the ring
Shouldn't have sensed his word
Especially when sense lingered by the gate when he entered your world
Talked about forever when it should have been never
Coz he talked the walk but could never walk the talk
Silly how he treaded upon it like an irritating bug
As though he never sought you with the last of him
And I know it's his idiocy you couldn't get over
