Ch15-Toy soldiers 

Cassie watched as everyone hurried to take their positions around Arcadius to protect their home. The fight had begun Cassie shielded her human friends from the hunters who wanted to kill them for being sympathisers.

"You your one of them why didn't you go down when the device went off?" Eastwood asked.

"I don't know" Cassie replied as she started to spar with Eastwood who had a wooden stake in his hands Cassie tried to stay out of Eastwood's reach but he had cornered her.

Eastwood was about to stick the wooden stake into her when Dallas got in the way.

Cassie screamed as she watched Dallas grow old and then fall to the ground. Cassie was furious now the anger and rage boiled within her and she fed of Eastwood catching him off guard she drained him.

Cassie watched all around her as some hunters and supernaturals fell to the ground, she looked around her to see if there were any threats and hugged Dallas's body feeling unable to leave him.

Morgan appeared at her side and spoke "I know this is hard for you but you have to let him go the hunters have just took over the south wing we are retreating back to the gym Brooklyn can keep the hunters out with boundary spells" Morgan said.

"No I can't leave him he saved my life Eastwood was about to kill me if Dallas hadn't have been their why does everyone have to die on me" Cassie said tears flowing down her face.

Morgan took hold of Cassie's face in his and used his powers to heal what she had felt and took away her sadness and dragged her away from this horrific scene that had just gone on.

At the gym Isaac and Kato were frightened they saw no sign of any of their family.

"Brooklyn what happened to Meredith?" Kato asked.

"A hunter shot her she threw herself in front of it protecting me" he said.

Kato gently placed his hand on Brooklyn's shoulder "Brooklyn she's going to be fine" Kato said.

Isaac bit his wrist and encouraged Meredith to drink which she did they watched as the wound started to heal.

"Thank You" Meredith said Isaac smiled at her and got to his feet "My king what will you have us do next we still have people out their some are trapped in the south wing?" Eric asked.

Eric was looking at Isaac "Wait my uncle cannot be dead" he said panicking now.

"Isaac relax you can do this I believe in you" Kato said.

They whitnessed the very sight they didn't want to see Daryl and Enzo was carrying Blade who where wounded.

Isaac rushed over to him "Blade don't you dare give up" he said.

Blade looked up at him his eye sight beginning to go "You need to protect her promise me you will get Cassie out of here alive?" Blade asked.

Isaac couldn't bring himself to speak he was broken normally Kato would comfort him but not today because he knew he was still hurting inside.

Blade slowly started to close his eyes Brooklyn tried to revive Blade but it was no use.

"Put up the barrier and let's go back to yours we will be safe there" Isaac ordered Brooklyn who just nodded.

Cassie appeared with Morgan Cassie had noticed Blades body and ran over to Kato who just held her in his arms trying to take away some of her pain.

"Cassandra I'm not going to let that be your fate" he whispered in her ear.

Brooklyn had started putting barriers up Adrian and Raphael had appeared with Lucifer.

"We all don't need to run we need to hit the hunters base" Lucifer suggested.

"We don't kill innocent people that's not who we are" Cassie said.

Lucifer stood in front of her and spoke "Hush and listen to your sire" he yelled.

Cassie looked him in the eyes and spoke "Isaac is the king now it's his decision" Cassie explained.

Isaac looked at us then spoked when he had everyone's attention.

"We need to stand up and fight back our brothers and sisters have been murdered in this house we have lost a great king we must avenge the fallen" Isaac announced.

Everyone cheered at this idea and went back out for one last crack at breaking the hunters defences.
