Ch8-Deadly Escape

Cassie awoke with a start Raphael lightly kissed her on the forehead "What's wrong kitten?" he asked.

"Something bad is going to happen I can feel it their coming we need to get out of here now wake Adrian, Isabella and Faith" I said.

Raphael did what I had said and Adrian had the same feeling as me as we packed the Mercedes the Royals appeared.

Adrian, Raphael, Isabella and Faith formed a circle around Cassie keeping her safe "You cannot hide from us forever" Lucifer said his eyes turning red.

"Bring it on if you want the girl come claim her" Raphael said as he flung himself at Lucifer they both sparred for a few minutes as Adrian, Isabella and Faith fought the other Royals.

Cassie rushed over to where Raphael was lying on the ground "It appears there's more to this tale you fell in love with a human Raphael" Lucifer said finding it amusing.

Lucifer looked down at Raphael and spoke "Love is weakness" he replied.

Cassie stood in front of Raphael shielding him from Lucifer "Humans never seize to surprise me just how stupid they can actually be" he said picking me up roughly by the collar of my jumper.

Cassie heard Isabella and Faith scream as two of the Royals ripped them apart Cassie looked horrified and screamed from where she was she hit Lucifer squarely in his chest he glared at Cassie and was about to hurt her when he let her go hearing a few howls in the distance him and the Royals disappeared.

"Cassie we have to get going now" Adrian said

Cassie was shocked at what she had just saw Raphael spoke "Don't worry I've got this?" he said to Adrian as he started the car up Raphael took both her hands in his.

"Cassie we must go there's nothing that can be done for Isabella and Faith" Raphael said Cassie nodded and got back into the car before we set off something unusual happened we were now sat in a living room we did not recognise.

"Did the portal work?" Isaac asked from the other room Cassie shouted his name he rushed over to her the others hugged her then noticed Isabella and Faith were missing.

"Please don't tell me their dead" Dallas asked Raphael who just gave him that sad expression

"They went out fighting but the Royals they tore them apart" Raphael said.

Cassie saw Kato lying down in the other room she went over to see him "Hey I'm so glad both you and Isaac are safe" she said.

Kato looked sad about something Isaac joined Cassie in the room now "Cassandra Kato needs to rest" Isaac said.

Kato spoke "Cassie come closer" he said Cassie knelt by the side of Kato's bed and he looked into her eyes "I'm so glad you're ok" he said stroking my face with his hands then Kato was having flashbacks of something in his past that was haunting him.

"Cassie you need to get out of here" Isaac ordered Cassie was about to get up when Kato grabbed her and placed his fangs inches from her neck Isaac looked worried.

"Kato fight this what Castillo did was wrong but Cassandra would never hurt you or any of us" Isaac explained meeting the eyes of Kato who looked up at him blood dripping from his mouth then realization hit him when he saw Cassie bleeding.

Isaac healed Cassandra and told her to go make sure the others are behaving for Brooklyn our host.

"I'm so sorry Isaac he hurt me bad I feel so weak and helpless" Kato said sadly.

"Listen to me Kato Mayflower you are not weak or helpless your strong and I'm going to help you through this" Isaac said.

Cassie appeared in the living room to see a teenage girl two years older than her pass a glass to her of what looked like orange juice.

"You must be Cassandra i'm Meredith?" she said.

"Nice to meet you I hope the guys are behaving for Brooklyn" Cassie said Meredith spoke "Oh don't worry my father can handle any unruly vampires and by the way he wants to meet you in his study" Meredith said.

Cassie followed Meredith through a set of double doors "Father Cassie Blake as requested" Meredith said.

Brooklyn was quite good-looking he was also the first Warlock I had ever met he kissed Meredith on the forehead and then told her to keep away from the vampire guests she nodded then left.

"Your beautiful I can see why they all want to protect you" he said brushing a stray bit of hair from out of my face "Isaac's vampires won't hurt your daughter" Cassie said blushing slightly after Brooklyn was just a few feet away from her.

"Brooklyn we need your help when I was younger Isaac told me stories of how powerful you really are and that you could help keep the darkness away well I need you we all do the Royals are never going to stop" Cassie said crying now.

Brooklyn embraced her then spoke "My child I will help you all" Brooklyn said as he wiped my face and Cassie followed him into another room were the others were Romeo, Enzo, Daryl, Blade, Raphael and Dallas all chained up.

"Let us out Brooklyn we are not the enemy here" Enzo said

"Yes Miss Blake has already informed me of that so I'll be freeing you but any of you even bite or upset my daughter and I'll destroy you very slow like "Brooklyn explained.

Cassie leaped into Raphael's arms he hugged her she hugged him back.

"Dinner will be ready in an hour father" Meredith said

"Thank You my dear please show Cassandra where she will be sleeping?" he asked Meredith nodded Cassie left after her.

"So, Isaac seems nice my father speaks highly of him" Meredith said.

Cassie looked around the room and noticed the other bed which she guessed was Meredith's she had always wanted a roommate.

"Dinners ready everyone" Brooklyn said

"Let's go eat" Meredith replied leading me in the direction of the dining room there was a big table in the middle of the room.

The others appeared at the table "Before we sit down and eat let's all say what we are thankful for" Brooklyn said.

"Isn't that some human tradition only two of us here are human" Romeo said

"Behave Romeo this is Brooklyn's home you need to follow his rules" Isaac said Romeo nodded.

"I'm thankful for being among friends and family" Brooklyn said.

"I'm thankful for sharing this amazing life that I didn't even know existed and hope I can learn more about vampires while you all stay with us" Meredith said.

As we got through the others it was Cassie's turn "I'm thankful for a few reasons number 1 is to the man who well and truly saved my life Isaac and for having such a loving caring family and the third being to new friends Meredith and Brooklyn" Cassie announced.

As we sat down and ate Kato passed me a piece of paper with writing on it read Cassie please meet me after dinner in mine and Isaac's room I need to talk to you love Isaac.

After dinner Cassie crept into Isaac and Kato's room Isaac was asleep but Kato was still awake he patted the bed next to him.

"Look Cassie I'm sorry for biting you I wasn't myself" he said

"Kato what's wrong you can talk to me?" Cassie said.

"It's too embarrassing" he replied

Isaac awoke and spoke "Kato please get some sleep" Isaac said

Cassie decided it was best to leave them alone and needed some fresh air she walked out on to the balcony.

"Kato was attacked by Isaacs' sire and I don't mean as in beating up way if you catch where this is heading" Daryl said.

Cassie froze then spoke realisation sinking in that Castillo raped poor Kato "How could anyone do something so horrible to Kato he's a good guy?" I said Daryl placed his arms around my waist then spoke "Don't worry we are tracking Castillo Isaac's sire and were going to make him pay for what he did to Kato" Daryl said leaving Cassie on the balcony to her thoughts.

As she was thinking her phone buzzed it was a message from Damien it read Help it's urgent this guy is hitting on Grace and Amy and I think he's bad news he doesn't look all their please hurry we are at the Spider nightclub the guy said his name was Castillo from Damien.

Cassie wrote back to Damien saying she would be on her way sneaking out of a house with Vampires and a Warlock was tricky but she managed it as she drew a portal to the Spider night club and went inside to take down this creep.

Damien jumped when he saw Cassie "Wow that was fast they just left to the roof with him" he said

Cassie took out a cross-bow and left in the direction for the roof Damien followed her.

"Castillo I take it?" Cassie asked as the vampire glared at her dropping Grace to the floor both her and Amy were unconscious from blood loss Damien rang an Ambulance.

"Wow four humans this is my lucky night" he said

"I wouldn't count on it" Cassie said firing one of the silver arrows at Castillo's heart he caught it with one hand before it pierced him.

"Children shouldn't be playing with Weapons they're not toys" Castillo explained then he noticed how brave this human in front of him was.

"Let me guess you're the one who 's wanted by the vampire Royals?" Castillo asked Cassie nodded.

Castillo moved closer to her she fired two more arrows at him which he dodged "Pathetic human you can't defeat me" Castillo said.

Damien smacked him over the head with a wooden board which didn't do much except for stun Castillo and make him angrier he threw Damien into one of the walls.

"Don't worry kid I'm getting to you" Castillo said to a dazed looking Damien.

"Now time for a snack" he said

"Please don't kill me" Cassie said starting to cry

Castillo smiled then stroked Cassie's face with his left hand "I just love it when they beg it makes it more fun" he said.

"I'm not going to kill you but very soon you will beg for death" he said as he sunk his fangs into my neck tasting my blood then automatically pulling away when he could taste vervain in large amounts.

"Not bad human" Castillo said as he began to become unconscious Cassie placed his body in a sack and chained it up tightly.

Cassie knew he wouldn't be out for long and went to quickly check on her friends who were now coming back around hearing the ambulances Cassie drew a portal back to Brooklyn's safe house taking back with her Castillo.

Once back she was greeted by everyone they were angry she had left without saying a word "You could have been captured by the Royals damn it Cassandra why did you leave?" Isaac asked.

"I left to take care of something see for yourself I believe this shit head is wanted by you" she said staring at the sack on the floor Isaac opened it and was shocked to see Castillo unconscious "You're playing with fire what you did was dangerous he could have killed you" Isaac said.

Cassie didn't argue any more she just left for her bedroom she placed the covers over her she felt a hand caress her face it was Raphael "Isaac was harsh on you I just wanted to check up on you?" he asked.

"I'm fine just need some sleep" Cassie said resting her head on his chest he looked over at Meredith who seemed to be reading Twilight "Raphael do you Sparkle?" she asked Raphael laughed then spoke "No I don't sparkle because I'm a vampire from the real world who would burn in the sun if not for this" Raphael said showing her his daylight ring.

"That's cool well good night" she said turning off the light and falling asleep Meredith was having bad dreams Raphael was still awake he was conflicted about what he should do he sat down next to Meredith's bed and gently woke her making sure not to startle her.

"Are you ok?" he asked

"Not really can you stay with me while I sleep?" she asked Raphael didn't want to hurt Cassie but then he remembered Brooklyn's warning about not upsetting his daughter.

Raphael nodded and let Meredith snuggle up next to him dreading what it would be like in the morning.
