(Prologue)

    It's been five years since Earths' heros battled a gruesome invasion of foes from a mysterious world.  Many innocent civilians had lost their lives during a devastating fight that Superman had with the god of thunder; Lord Raiden.  They had put each other through towers, buildings, shops and even homes and not one of the two would give in.  It bothered Superman that his own hands had been forced to use explosives against the god and he wished to this day he could go back and find a quicker way to end the fight without destroying half of earth, perhaps maybe, he could've taken Raiden to a different planet lightyears away.  Raiden at least had a light in him and in the end he and Clark called a truce.  He'd told Superman that the entire crew attacked the heros out of fear the fact that they all were summoned out of the blue from their own world by Quan'Chi.  Superman let Raiden leave with a promise...if they ever came back again it would be war.  He had heard about what they had done to people especially under the rule of Shang Tsung within a strange murderous tournament.  He understood why they took immediate action but one thing didn't fly...he believes in justice.  What they did by attacking Flash, Batman, and a small amount of civilians, there was no justice behind that.  That was five years ago.  Recently Superman killed Zod, defeated doomsday with allies, and died. He had been brought back to take out another enemy.  Life had calmed down a lot since.  Crime rates dropped when Clark returned, everyone was back to jobs and the city was pretty much back in good shape.  But something within his gut didn't feel right something felt dark, depressing, nerve wrecking.  Somebody was coming and the power felt made both him and Kara uneasy.
