The touching of a baby
Is a very important event.
Doctors say a baby knows
Your very own touch and scent.

Hugging is a special time
When a new baby is born,
But it can also mean as much
To someone who is forlorn.

So let me give you the warmly
Biggest hug I can muster up.
As a big smile on my face
Is about to erupt.

Let me hold your hand
And walk you through
This time of healing 
That you now ensue.
