#432 OLD FRIENDS Read Count : 123

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
As we sit together having our daily chat,
The pot is in a cozy keeping warm the tea.
Two little girls are playing on the floor;
One looks like you and one looks like me.

They are growing up together and
We wonder whether when
They reach the age of maturity
They each still will have their friend.

For we have been friends together
Since we were just about two,
Lasting through any weather,
Apart from new friends we ensue.

A friend you’ve had forever
Can never be replaced
By two or even three,
As time cannot be erased.
