A mosquito is an insect 
      which is quite a pest. 
It likes to breed in puddles 
      and not inside a nest. 

It eagerly hides among the grasses  
      whether brown or green. 
And when you sit outside, 
      you’d better be behind a screen. 

For this little annoying insect 
      can give you quite a bite, 
Which will itch and itch you 
      right on through the night. 

And some carry diseases 
      which will surely give you a scare 
If one is found in your neighborhood 
      to be lurking there.
