Friends are like flowers
They burst here and there
You never know where
Or when one will appear

A kindness or a deed 
That you may have done
Might just bring you
A long lasting one

You may think that person
You will never again see
When there she appears
Again so unexpectedly

So don’t you ever let 
Even one single doubt
Keep you from giving 
A special kindness out 

For a friend may be
Just the reward
You didn’t know
You’re reaching toward
