Today we all are celebrating world human rights day. The United Nations on Dec. 10 ,1948 adopted the universal declaration of human rights. Therefore, from that day Dec. 10 is celebrated all over the world as Human Rights Day. "Human Rights". What is human rights??? Human rights are those rights which a person should have in order to be a human being. All individuals should enjoy their rights without any distinction of religion, caste, colour or sex. The universal declaration of human rights enumerates two sets of human rights. The first set of rights is political and civil rights which include right to freedom of speech, right to life and liberty, right to equality before law, right to move freely, right to have judicial remedy and right to vote or take part in the governance of one's country. The second set of rights is economic and social rights. These rights include right to work, right to have rest, right to have a good standard of living, right to have education and right to have equal pay for equal work. All above these rights are necessary but only book mentioned things. Today we are celebrating human rights day and from the beginning of this year to till now we has around more than 200 terror attacks all over the world. Syria has became the discomposure capital of this endless battle. Yesterday a refugee rights group claimed that more than 4,65,000 civilians have been killed in Syria's 6 year long civil war. We are talking about rights in a world where a needy mother is forced to sell her newborn baby for food. The defination of right for us is something for the aristocracy of our society , not for widows. They can't live according to their wish because their presence is defined as sinister in our society. Nowadays, sexual assault on women is became a common phenomenon. A research reveals that in every 10 hours a girl of age 1 to 10 is being raped in this world. From a 18 months baby girl to a 70 years old woman no one is safe here. Last month in Delhi that 18 months baby girl's rape case is a shameful evidence of these inhuman deeds. Right to religion is given for creating peace but unfortunately religion has became a major sword for social problems. All are trying to save their religion. Everyone has their explanations and in all these things somewhere we lost our primary religion "humanity". Sometimes I feel that starting a war is became just like buying a chocolate. Whenever 2 countries have any discrimination, they don't want any entente to solve that problem, they just announce a war and the result of this declaration is "Zohra". "Zohra" is the daughter of ASI Abdul Rashid, who was shot when militants fired upon him. His letter to his lovable daughter & Zohra's crying face is one of those things, that we can't forget till the last breath of our life. When it comes to human right, do we have the right to make fun of a kid who need our help badly???? Remember , Kamlesh????? 13 years old drug addict. When his shocking story was came to limelight , instead of helping him we all started making him a butt of our silly jokes. Today when we are talking about right to life and liberty, we should not forgot Nagada incident of our state where our future is insecure with salt & water rice. While talking about right to move freely, do you guys remember "Dana Majhi" ???? The helpless tribe who walked for 10 kilometres carrying his wife's body on his shoulder. Before a citizen of any particular country, before a male or female , before a devotee of any particular religion , we all are humans. To protect human rights all we need is cooperation between us. If humanity became our religion and a borderless world became our motive , then we can save our beautiful world from the mouth of destruction. We need to stand for us. Just remember one thing that- "Raise your voice whenever any unjustifiable thing you saw, Be a human & show your humanity Instead of waiting for the action of law."
