Is it in this Christmas time, 
     Wanting family and friends,
Or is it in the good times,
     That we hope will never end?
No, because I want all that,
     All the time and everyday.
Not because it is Christmas,
     But It's Christmas Anyway.

Is it the want for peace; or,
     Is it just a yuletide cheer?
Is it only for Christmas,
     Or love throughout all the year?
Is it just seasons greetings, 
     On this giving holiday?
No, it certainly is not,
     But It's Christmas Anyway.

Then what is it in Christmas?
     What is it that I will find?
What's the first thing in Christmas,
     That always jumps in my mind?
It is Jesus I think of,
     I think of Him everyday.
Not because it is Christmas,
     But It's Christmas Anyway.
