A year ago she was happy. She had friends, family, bt with every passing day she became gloomy. " Why are you doing this" asks her closest friend Sarah. It's not that I want to, bt because I have to. Your just going to leave me anyway so what's the big deal. That's what Lila wanted to say to sarah. But instead she says "It's for the best".
     That's the last time Lila ever saw Sarah. Now Lila has pushed everyone she loved away. Everytime someone asked her why she does it. She tells them that it's for the best and walks away. A year ago from now, Lila was hurt. It wasn't a physical type of pain, but an emotional pain. A scar that someone would leave on a heart, and a person's pride. 
   " Are you okay?" Lila's parents would ask. She would answer back with " Yes, mom, and dad, I'm fine." Her parents could hear the quiver in her voice. Everytime Lila came out of her room her parents could see the hurt in her eyes. Although they couldn't see her eyes most of the time, because she always looked at her feet. 
  She was alone, although she had her parents. She had pushed everyone away with the fear of everyone leaving her. She wasn't gonna give them the chance to hurt her. So she would hurt them first. She lost her brother, and the ones who said they loved her, were liars. They would leave her broken. 
   Looking for a light, she never found one. Hope, love, and peace we're just words to her. The only words she could say and think of were "I'm sorry" but no one heard her. She was broken into a thousand pieces frozen in time. She had no one to save her.
