To know me, I would have to start from the beginning. So here goes. I'll try not to let you all down, so let me know how I do. :)

It all started at McCurtain High School, a small town in Oklahoma. My mom had a singing contest for 4H in the auditorium, where everyone who was anyone would be attending. Judges, Families, Teachers, Students, you name it. It was a big contest & my mom was runner up for the State Championship in Nashville. God, she really can sing (still to this day).
Anyways. She was this beautiful, blonde curly haired, green-eyed country girl, with a talent all girls her age wished they'd had. I guess she was just born with it because my Grandma can't carry a tune in a hand-basket. No offense Grandma, love you, don't hate me. Haha.
So as the auditorium began to fill, my mom was preparing to sing Reba's hit song "The night the lights went out". Little did she know my Dad was one of her audience members. He was blue eyed with long black hair and was pretty popular (or so I've heard).
Though I'm guessing neither of them knew they're lives would be changed after my mom's performance. So, it came time for my mom to take the stage and sing her song and from what I've heard from anyone in McCurtain is that she rocked that auditorium, and the judges chose her to go to Nashville.
Well shortly after the performance, my dad himself approached her. He wanted to go out, maybe grab a bite to eat - watch a movie, or something. My dad said he was so caught up in how beautiful she was that when he looked into her eyes, he already knew that he loved her.
Well they started dating that night over dinner and a movie. It wasn't until later on that my dad informed my mom that he had a 2 year old daughter already and had also been married at 17 years old. They married when her mom had her, because of tradition, but was in the process of a divorce at that time due to lack of love & communication (how my dad put it when he told my mom years & years ago).
My mom was raised to accept and to love all people no matter their race, age, wealth, or situations. So my mom stayed with my dad and loved Alex like her own. She was 15 at the time and my dad was 19, so they struggled like any human being would but they made it. My mom says they were so deeply in love that Everytime she seen him her eyes filled with happy tears. I believe her because I love him just as much to this day. They're both my everything.
It wasn't until my mom turned 19 that they had me, then at 22 my brother Clay, and at 24 my little brother Joseph. Unfortunately, things just started to fall apart slowly. My dad started doing drugs and became abusive to my mom behind closed doors. So when she was able to run, she ran. And to this day has never looked back. She's a very strong woman, but as of today both of my parents are addicted to different drugs, and habits that it has completely consumed them.
I actually get my strong attitude and ability to love through all odds from my mother. I get my bad attitude and sense of humor from my dad. So, my parents have been split up going on 18 years and still haven't signed a divorce paper 1, because I'm guessing they do still love each other deep down so its difficult to do. Or maybe it's because of us and not wanting to hurt us. I'll never know, my mom tries not to speak of it if she doesn't have to. Yet, I still wish I had gotten to see them in love.
All of my life it's always been "Well your dad isn't the 1 who raised you I am so he doesnt even need to try and act like he cares." (Which he does). Or, "What good has your mother done for you. All she does is run around and makes everyone else take care of y'all." (Somewhat true, but not 💯).
I mean obviously as you can tell it's been a heck of a ride. See, that's the amazing part though. I have 3 children of my own now, and I get to show them what I never had or got to see as a child. I have a son, his name is Aidyn. A daughter, her name is Hanna. Last, but not least. I have another son, and his name is Jesse.
They have known nothing but love from me. Yes, of course I've been through some terrible things (abuse, drug use, depression and more), but I plan on making a part 2 to let you all know that side of my life and how it's all changed.
To me, it doesn't matter what life throws at you. If you have children, and are going through bad times, don't talk bad about the other parent to them or put them down. That truly scars a child. No matter what I've ever been through I have never drug my children through the mud with me. I've always tried to protect them with all my heart. But hey guys I've got babies to bathe and laundry that needs to be done, let me know if you all want to hear the rest of my story. I love to write and I believe I would like to write a part 2 since I did not get to myself in this part. I hope you all have a wonderful day, let me know what you guys think.
-to be continued.
