I Saw A Man.... Read Count : 42

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
I saw a man standing haggard and worn,
His clothes draping his meager frame ripped and torn.
His hands shaking against Mother Nature’s cruel north winds.
Standing afar I watched him for an unknown time.
As if by magic I blinked and he was gone,
Or had he ever really been there?

But I saw a man haggard and worn, standing against the cruel world.
Hands weary and shaken,
Weary and tired I saw a man standing by a fire…
Was he ever really there, or had he become a symbol of how man’s complacent.

Yes, I was sure as I am alive I saw a man by the fire…
