Ghosts haunt this place.
They patrol the hallways, these dank hallways with the walls covered in peeling wallpaper, seeping coldness and uneasiness into the framework of the building. The ghosts drift, as insubstantial as a gust of wind. And they are like the wind, blowing fear and coldness and tragic confusion into the hearts of those who live here.
I do not live here. I merely observe. But what I see and hear chills me to the bone. Those unearthly shrieks. Those passages of warning, these halls full of foreboding.

I cannot stay here anymore. If I set another foot within this place, I will go mad. Already, the shrieks of the ghosts reverberate in my ears at night, and the haunted images that I see imprint themselves on my eyelids. I leave tomorrow and have already packed my bags. I just set down these words to warn others who might come this way.
