You're selfish 
That's fine
So am I 
I grit my teeth 
And ball my fists
And tighten my lips
But I can't do this
You say I hurt you 
And it's all I do 
But in reality 
It's just not true
I made a choice for me
It didn't involve you 
I wanted your input
But this 
I didn't ask for this 
I say okay 
And turn my head 
To look away 
And pretend the tears 
Streaming down my cheeks
Aren't there
