At home I quickly got ready and I went out out the door to Alex's moms house. 

When I got there, Alex was waiting for me in front of the house door. 

"Hey, Danika! Come in! My mom is willing to meet you." 

"Yeah, Alex. Maybe she thinks I'm your girlyfriend, even though I'm a sophomore in high school!" 

That thing I said made Alex blush. 

"She would never think that." Alex mumbled 

I gave Alex a pat on the back and entered his mom's house.

But something made me gasp. There was an old women lying on the floor covered in blood. 

"Alex, your mom was murdered!" I said, as a tear rolled down my cheek.

Alex quickly entered the house and saw the lady lying on the floor. 

"Danika, you call Mr.Kelly, and I'll call an ambulance." Alex said, sobbing a little bit. 

"Anything for you Alex." I said, as I got my phone  out and dialed Mr.Kelly. 

"Okay, I will be right there. Hang on!" Mr. Kelly said. 

"Who ever did this to my mom, will get the taste of their own medicine!" Alex said, is face turning hot red. 

Mr.Kelly entered the house with the police and the ambulance people. 

"Alex, Danika, please investigate the rest of the house. While me and the officers analyze the DNA of Maria Swifton." 

Me and Alex investigated the kitchen first. There was an AK 47 rifle in the kitchen. And a knife covered in blood. 

"It looked like your mom Alex, has been shot 5 times in the chest and stabbed 6 times around the body." Mr.Kelly called from the living room. 

"Yes, sir. There is an AK 47 and a knife covered in blood here in the kitchen." I said as I looked at the knife a little bit. 

  23 minutes later....

We found the killer of Maria Swifton! The murderer was Greg Elsado Ben Pablo.  He was wanted in many areas. And it was a good thing we caught him. He was running on the road his hands covered in blood as we were going to drive back to the Department. 


Officer Maria gave me and Alex a high five! As we entered the Department. 

"You are both good detectives! You both are very fit for this job and Mr.Kelly will be very happy. In fact, we should pay you higher salary! 100 dollars per hour." 

Me and Alex smiled. Officer Maria winked at us and ran out of the room. 

"Danika, thank you for helping me with this crime. Without you that Greg would've killed more people!!" Alex said. 

"You are very welcome Alex." I said, giving Alex a kiss on the cheek.
