" Many have looked at Jesus, but few have seen him. Many have seen his shadow, his people, his story. But only a handful have seen Jesus. Only a few have looked through the fog of religiosity and found him. Only a few have dared to stand eye-to-eye and heart-to-heart with Jesus and say, "I believe that you are the Son of God." Max Lucado This world is still trying to figure out how to label Jesus. People, in his time, believed he was a great teacher, a prophet, and a bunch of not-so-nice labels. Today, the world has the same problem, but the confusion remains because their hearts are hardened, and they don't want to believe who he called himself, along with what the Old Testament prophets called him as they looked into the future. They didn't make their claims without God's direction, as some would think. Open your heart to God. Read the Bible, and do it with an open mind and heart. Start with the New Testament and read from there. Ask God to show you what you've been missing for so very long. If you do this, you won't just find Jesus, but peace of mind and heart, the world has no way of giving. A lasting peace that transcends war, terror attacks, and anything else you want to name. Grow close to God, and watch the wonderful things that will happen in your life. You must know for yourself who Jesus really is, then follow through, and follow him as his disciples did. Anything less than total commitment won't bring what you need most. If you have noticed, people commit themselves to all kinds of things like sports, and a host of other things, but when it comes to their most important relationship with God, it is often a half-hearted, token gesture. This relationship, and how you conduct it, will determine your spiritual destiny in eternity. Please take it seriously, and put your whole being into the effort. If you do this, God will reward you both in this life and the eternal one to come after you die. He is preparing your eternal home now. What answer will you give to God? He loves you unconditionally, and wants to spend this life and eternity with you.
