With my own words...
I spoke it till it took form
I said it then it did perform
Indeed I created a storm
The one purposed to deform
My own words only helped me conform
Lacking the capacity to transform me so I stayed within the norm
Till His Word came to inform

Now I speak as He has spoken
Boldly declare none is broken except the chains that were meant to imprison me so I never from the sleep of ignorance be awaken

I'm so taken.....
His Word so sweet erasing the memories that I was once heartbroken
Yes, inspite of the mess I created
I am still chosen

Discontented with man-defined greatness
I reckon not the worldly where the promises amount to messes

This is me...
The deposits of His encryptions formed an entire me
That He deliberately set in motion at my conception

I must admit...the world almost took its toll on me
Made me believe I needed to break free
From the One who bled and died for me
For a second I nearly believed

But the Word springing forth from my inner being
Like a bulldozing force brought down every wall that built itself up to shutter me
He indeed confused that which was once certain I'd come to nothing

I was set on my feet
Tall, bold and unwavering I stood
Not on my own but His word carrying me that not even my feet felt the ground beneath
So I prefer His word for speech
Sanctified, glorified, beautified, heavenly defined...never defiled
Because of the essence of His being I did proceed

Where grace and truth governs my existence
For this very cause He did endure the cross
Despising the shame that with the cross came
A forbearance that only His love for me inflamed
