You gave me the gift of love
You taught me to have courage 
You showed me the life beyond all odds
You promised me you'd stay.

I was caught into darkness
You asked me to call your name
Once I did, you said you'd come
But then you never did, and I just cried.

You asked me to stay as I am
Being me is what you want
I did all you've asked me to
But then you left, now I'm lost.

Once a simple smile can ease a pain
Now even a simple joke can't make any sense
Once a heart full of life 
Now became cold and lifeless.

You made me promise something 
You made me do the things you asked
I did all I can to become better
But you did nothing and left me hanging.

You did promise to stay and be my knight
But then you threw me daggers of painful words
You said you love me 
But then you failed to make me feel as if you really do.

I was hurt
I was broke
My life was like a shattered glass
Now I felt nothing but a heart cold as ice, stiff like a stone.
