There are at least six conditions that are possible times when you will hurt someone else or be hurt:

Emotionally Spent:
When you are emotionally or otherwise overwrought, beyond the limits of being in total control of what you do and say. You may be in grief over a loved one's passing, or some other highly emotional event.

Too Tired:
It could be when you are beyond tired for whatever reason. Your body is so weary, you can't muster the energy to evaluate sensibly what you are doing and saying.

Too Much Pain:
When pain is so severe that you cannot cope any longer, watch out. You are so concentrated on the pain, you will not be able to fully comprehend the need to shut down and not speak or do anything extra until the pain is under control again.

Influenced By Alcohol or Drugs:
Your mind is not "in gear" when you are drinking or using drugs. You can hurt someone badly, or be hurt irreparably by someone, and the memory of it may not be there later.

The Person Doesn't Care:
This is the most mean of all the conditions, because the person is in full control, and still does the hurt.

The Height of Anger:
I have been hurt by others during this condition, maybe you also. Remember that the more emotion is involved in the situation, the harder it is to let it go or forgive.
Whenever a "too" is involved, you or others are in danger of being hurt, so be careful. It can happen in a moment's time period, the effects lasting for many years: too tired, too emotional, etc.
Is it worth going somewhere when these conditions are present? Only you can answer this question. It may begin as a pleasurable occasion, but end up as a disaster. You cannot turn back the clock once these incidents happen!
