Pumpkin pie and turkey are laden
upon a special cloth on the table.
I’ve put together the best dinner
Enjoying it all and as I was able.

Candles standing amid the table
Have been set with flame aglow.
I give a call in to waiting guests
Who certainly don’t move slow.

The presents have all been opened
Amid the aahs and oohs, noise of glee,
And now the dinner is heartily served
And together comes the whole family.
