WRITING A LIST

Today I’m writing my Christmas wish list,
Listing each thing that would be a special gift.

This list will not be published for all to see,
But will remind me of what I could give to me.

Shyly I may show you if you ask me for a peek,
But very glad I’ll be that on my list you seek.

For as I search my list throughout the coming year,
The gift that I received from you will be so very dear.
