The cold air smells like fire
The leaves burn like embers
Why do I still remember?
I stare out my window
Your memory, it lingers 
Why don't you disappear

I am trying to forget you
but for some reason 
I cannot let you go 
at the end of seasons

Death is carried on the wind
and your ghost, it follows
Why do I feel so hollow?
Your voice is in my head
Your whispers, they echo 
Why can't I let go?

I can feel you over my shoulder 
but when I look back 
I think it's all over
and the sky goes black

When I see the sun finally go down
and I see your ghost
slowly surround me
I know I'll never let go
