What do people really want from us? We try to follow what we are told. But we can never win, Anything we do is classed as a sin. The whole system messes with young girl's minds. They get bullied for trying to be different and one of their own kind. They turn to self harm and suicide to get away from it all, People barely blink an eye anymore, Aren't you appalled? Why don't we just teach them what we should have been taught? They are perfect the way they are, There's no need for them to find more spaces for scars. They should never have felt the need to put the blade to their skin, We are here for them like others should have been. Society has views that are wrong, It has been said through speeches and poems and songs. You don't have to look like models or be famous, We are happy with the fact you are breathing. You're gorgeous and perfect the way you are, We don't wish for you to be leaving. Those people were wrong, You are who you are. If they point out the scars upon your skin, Just say they are battlescars. You've fought your war, You're a survivor. Keep breathing and smiling, My fierce little tiger.
