We spend so much time buying that special little gift
That to our special friends will give them quite a lift.

Pretty paper wrappings and topped off with a bow,
The packages wrapped, and our faces are aglow.

Giving a gift is a pleasure, not only the receiver of the gift,
The giver dressed it with their love has by far the greater lift.
