Mourning Leah....

She ended up naming her own sons, was her husband not involved in her pregnancy & delivery?

She says maybe my husband will “HEAR” that I have bore him a son and love me, kanti where was Joseph? Did he live far away from her?

BUT GOD!!!!

What prompted her to continue sleeping & bearing children for a man who only remembered her when it’s baby making time only?

What could she had done different? & had she done it, would she still have been a mother of a great nation (Israel)?

Leah though you were not loved, you are LOVED!

How did his Father feel when he saw his daughter’s life?

What was Leah’s reaction when she heard that her dad wanted to give her away to her sisters fiance’.

Was there ever joy in her life? She was weak in the eye, her own dad wanted to get rid of her, her husband did not love her, even after bearing him kids her sister was still the favourite!

BUT Why?
What was the meaning of her existence?

What could be learnt from such a terrible story / life / experience?

BUT GOD!!!

Who would volunteer to be in her shoes?

Who would willingfully, choose to persue her character? Because that would mean having to go through the same refining fire as her...

Dispised from beginning
Despised till the end
Despised generations & generations after you passed away
NO ONE WANTS TO BE LIKE HER

Do you think she would choose to be her if she had a choice?

Who would have bore half of Israel? If she had not existed?

Buried with the legends, Abraham & Sarah, could she also have been a Legend?

BUT
Could she not bear the 6 without bearing the pain?

How come she never killed herself?
What kept her going?
How come she remained married to Jacob till death did them apart?

Now here is a woman of virtue!!

If you want to learn endurance, look to Leah, who humbly stuck it out till the end.

If you want to learn hope, look to Leah, who kept hoping that she would be loved by those who were meant to love her.

If you want to learn submission, who else would be a good example?...

BUT Leah, who continued to subject herself under Jacob’s authority.
Honouring their marriage... as though it was legitimate.

Was it even legit? The husband said the vows but not to her, or did he?
She wore the veil even, she was the bride, she agreed to marry him, or did she?

Oh Leah, even I do not wish to be in your feet
I do wish I were your friend, I would have offered a shoulder for you to cry on.

Yet I am glad I was not you friend, who knows, I might have convinced you otherwise... I might have offered misaligned advices.

Who was your adviser? Where did you find so much Strength, Wisdom, Faith!!

Oh Leah! The infamous Legend! Unwanted Heroin!

Oh Leah! Where would God’s Praise come from had you not give birth to Judah!
Without you there would be no Lion of Judah!

Oh Leah! Mother of Isarael’s Priesthood! Without you there would be no Levi!

Without your Pain, none of it would exist!

Praise be to God who is able to take the ridiculous, tedious, despised things of the world & use them for His honour & Glory!!

Truly the Lord’s thoughts are not our thoughts! His ways are higher than our ways.

OHHH!! The Oracles of God!!!

To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be praise and blessing and honour and glory and might and dominion forever and ever!!!!
