More Grimming Than Prior "I am sorry, Mrs. Digit, we can't do any more operations on her. If we do, we might put her human side in jeopardy." That was heard in the darkness. It was blurred out. Why am I hearing voices? Am I dead? Am I alive? "She is barely even awake. That girl zapped half of her face off!" A woman's voice said. It was more clear than the last hearing. "She is the only cyborg that we performed help on. We don't know what will happen to her human side if we give her more procedures that might cause the machine side to harm. If we find something that will help her, we will inform you. We will just have to cover her burnt side for now." The male voice turned more clear. My eyes vision repaired into a white room. My mother was sitting in the corners chair while the doctor was trying to discuss with her. "All we know the impact damaged her face and her code. She possibly has a mutation." The doctor told her. I was still confused and half of face was in searing agony that I let out a moan. The doctor spun around to see me awake. "Welcome back to the world, Digit." He told me. "We tried operations on you, but we don't want to put your life in jeopardy and also you have a mutation in your code from the volts that the droid girl zapped you with." I groaned in distress. "That girl don't have to be a sore loser about it. I thought I lost to her." "Apparently, you didn't, Storm. You'd passed her just before the finish line and she started to slow down. You were always at a constant pace." My mom told me. "I always ran to school for the whole 1.75 miles." I informed her. "Racing with Rayla." Then Sunny came in with a worried expression on her face: "Stormy, Stormy." She spoke in a grimming tone. "I am sorry what happened on your birthday two days ago." "It's Wednesday today?" I asked. "Affirmative." Sunny nodded. "The school is paying for the damages. The girl was arrested. You still get the awards." "Leave her alone, Sun." Mom commanded Sunny. "She's fine. Mostly, the pain in the right side of my face is bothering me." My voice turned raspy and dry. "Well, I hope you'll return to school." Sunny kisses my forehead then she walked out. "Let me get the medication that will help with your pain." The doctor leaves the room. I looked towards mom with a weak painful smile and said: "What's with me cheating on death?" Mom chuckled. "I don't know." She said. "First, I didn't die at the age of five and got shocked by a droid." I rolled my eyes. Mom got up and walked over to me the grabbed my hand. Rayla peeked her head into the door. "I am sorry, Mrs. Digit." She said like she just intruding on something. Mom turned around and smiled. "It's fine, Rayla. Why are you peeking your head into the doorway?" She raises a brow and gave her a silly smile. Rayla whispered to someone that was beyond the door. Then Sunny and Sose came in holding dark blue flowers. They set the flowers upon my bed. I clutched them lightly. I choked down my scream of jubilation. "Rayla, why are doing this?" I asked. "We saw you won the race and felt sympathy of what happened to you, so we decided to bring you flowers that has your favorite colour." Rayla explains. "I will take them home and put them in Storm's room." I hand mom the flowers and she walked out. "You guys can talk to her." "It seems the electrocution had damned your right side of your face." Sose said as he gave me a mirror. Half of my flesh was burnt off, revealing my machine beneath my face. My right eye was glowing red. The edge flesh surrounding the metal was burnt to a thin dark line. The doctor asked Rayla, Sose, and Sunny to leave the room. He injected a vaccine that will soothe the pain and he also rebuild the right side of my face. I was able to return home after a few hours from the procedure. I was excused of skipping the academy on Thursday. My return was on Friday. Everyone at the academy sympathetically glared at me. There were some divergents who didn't glare at me all. I was on the way to mathematics class then some guy with dark hair and green eyes caught my attention. His glare was cold and deadly. He had his friend that had his phone out aiming towards me. He crept over to me and growled at me: "Are you happy about you cheated in the competition?" Then punched me right in the gut. Everyone now gazed their attention towards the guy and it wasn't pretty. "What?!" I coughed. "I didn't cheat, I'd practiced running." "Liar, no one could sustain the same speed from start to finish!" He smacked me. "I jogged two miles to school!" I replied. Then glanced towards the boy holding his phone. I got provoked when I realized he was filming me. "Stop filming!" I ordered. "No!" He shook his head. That's when they finally pulled the trigger. I shoved the green eye boy out of my way and didn't even realize that he had impacted hard against the wall. I marched over to his friend then prepared to snatch his phone, but he pulled it away. I attempted to snatch it again, but before I can pulled it away from him. I saw his screen flickered then turned black. I ceased my advance. Then he looked at me with a menacing glare. "I didn't know..." I said to him weakly. Then the boy punched me in the throat then gut. Everyone was gasping while I crumbled to the floor. "Weakling." He spat. The two boys began laughing while everyone shouted the word: "Boo!" At them. The headmaster emerged into the hallway then screamed out: "Students, get to class!" I was escorted to the nurse's office for some ice packs. I didn't say that I felt the pain when they punched me in the gut and throat. The headmaster's assistance walked in. She didn't look pleased. She kneeled down to my sight and said: "Witnesses said that you've been punched in the gut." She told me. "One of the boys were also filming. They queried that I cheated in the race. I was getting provoked. I shoved one of them away. I'd never knew my strength would slam him against the wall. I was about to take his phone to make him stop filming, but his phone jammed out." I explained. "I wasn't trying to be violent, I was trying to make them stop. I'd never had this problem until after I got shocked by the droid, Assistant Garren." "Thanks for telling me, but you'd never realize your strength until after you are left the hospital?" She queried. "Affirmative." I nodded. "None of my previous strength wasn't as high after of what happened. Maybe it was adrenaline and I remembered doctor saying there's a mutation in my code." I informed. "I will let you off the hook once, Collette, but you better come up with a plan." She fully stood up. "We don't want you to harm anyone. Your parents are on their way and you have plenty of hours to think." I felt mortified that my parents had to come and take me home because I got into some conflicts. They told me they weren't mad. Mom was trying to apply as a doctor in the hospital, so she left. My dad took me to his gym within the basement of the house. It was blocked off for me for ages. "Punch the dual bag." Dad Erzo ordered me. I put my fists up. I clocked the dual bag as hard as I can. Then the dual bag got disconnected from ceiling then plunged towards the wall at speeds. When it fell to the floor, there was a large dent in the wall. I glared at my dad, feared of what's about to happen. He let out a sigh and rubbed his forehead. He then picked up his phone and dialed whomever. I'd bet that he was calling my doctor or the scientist. "Dr. Ralline," he said my doctor upon the phone, "my daughter appears to have supernatural strength."
