snow in a blizzard 
under my frostbitten nose
I curl my fingers tighter 
around the mug 
and pull the blanket 
higher over my ears
the hot peppermint tea 
dances on my tongue 
and warms my core
I close my eyes 
enjoying this moment of bliss
calm 
soothing 
rejuvenating 
bliss
