#585 SAVE ME PLEASE Read Count : 147

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
Snow in deep pockets all around
Pushing and shoving up the hill
Was it the car, or was it the driver?
I want to but can’t stand here still

Heaving, breathing, slower I go
Inch by inch, view is not passing
Will I make it, I surely don’t know
Memory failed, car needed gassing

A car is coming by, not at a speed
Hello, can I help you I hear
A can of gas would sure fill my need
Can you find some right near?

I happen to have a can in my trunk
You never know in this snow
Others laugh and call it bunk
Not so, now you surely know

Thanks, Oh thanks, you saved me
This hill is a torturous climb
So glad you took time to set me free
You are of such moral worth, sublime
