A little child in a dark space
Nothing to be afraid of
I’m not scared, I’m just alone

I hear noises that scare
They are not here, but out there
I’m not scared, I’m just alone

There’s is nothing hiding
In the clothes and the toys
I’m not scared, I’m just alone

I could play, but it’s too dark
Tears start to fall on my cheek
I’m not scared, I’m just alone

Why do they do this to me
Better safe in here, than out there
I’m not scared, I’m just alone

Curl up and take a nap
They’ll soon let you out
I’m not scared, I’m just alone

Weakness overcomes me
Take some clothes, make a pillow
I’m not scared, with God I’m not alone

Morning comes and the door opens
Mama what awful thing did I do
I was scared and all alone

Nothing is your fault you see
Your dad is gone forever and we are free
Together, not scared and not alone
