My life may not always be felicitous Everything I eat might not be delicious I may not have been born of the gentry But I’m glad to be born in this century Onerous my troubles don’t have to be But stalwart I can become you see My life can become venerable A token of affection and honorable In spite of the ups and the downs Some day I’ll live where there are crowns © Copyright 8/25/03 by Jean E.
