#470 A BIT GIDDY Read Count : 138

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
I don’t wallow in self pity
Because I’m not young and giddy.

Yes, I’ve lived a lot of years,
Some with smiles and some tears.

I’ve become accomplished
From dreams I’ve wished.

I won’t dwell on the past;
My eyes to the future are cast.

Although my body may be of age
My mind is filled with sage.

For experience is learning I’ve found
I’m anxious for good years to abound.

But just because I’m old and not pretty
Doesn’t mean I still can’t be a little bit giddy.
