Pitter Patter Of My Paws. Read Count : 130

Pitter patter went my paws,
All alone, down the hill.
Pitter patter went the rain,
Run away from the bloodied kill.
Pitter patter goes my heart,
My soul it leaves me now.
Pitter patter, on the walls
That I built so I wouldn't bow.

My paws slowly return to humane,
My eyes loose the yellow stain.
My hair, once so much,
Now grows long, in a bunch

A'top my head,
Where my ears return
To the side of my skull,
And my heart yearns.

My body cracks,
Breaks and heals.
Returns to that,
The part that feels.

Yearning has become my world,
My very breath aches for freedom.
Every night, I feel the call
The howl within the wild kingdom

Calls upon the wolf inside
Calls upon what I fight to hide.
Calls upon what most call fake,
Calls upon something that makes

The nights quiver with fear,
And to respect those who are near.
